Playscheme

Our playscheme programme for children aged 8 to 12 years has been running for eight years. We continue to work in partnership with Bourne Estate Tenants’ Association and run the playscheme from their Tenants’ Hall. 1A ARTS etc has a great team of seven play staff, four of whom live locally. Our play staff team come from a range of cultural backgrounds which reflect the diverse ethnicities of children who attend the playscheme programme. All play staff either currently have or are studying for NVQ Level 3 in Playwork. Our young service users have grown up with the play staff and have a major input into planning the programme for each playscheme. We consult with the children who tell us what activities they would like to have and give us ideas for where they want to go on trips.
