To be, or not to be, that is indeed the question. Okay, so we’re stealing words from a great playwright, but the question remains to the same: do you want to Be somebody – make a difference, inspire the hearts, minds and imaginations of children in your local area? Because if you do, you’ve come to the right blog.
Here at Arts etc, we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals between 16-25 years old who have a desire to access the world of creative charity work and help enrich the lives of many exceptional kids and teenagers in the borough. You need to possess a real interest in the arts, music, museums, design and all things creative (well, that can’t be too hard for starters). You also need to have that precious commodity: time. Specifically, two times monthly for a couple of hours a pop. Sound realistic? Great.
If you’re picked as one of our 8 new volunteers (ideally you should live locally within the Holborn/Farringdon/Kings Cross area) you will meet fortnightly to plan some cutting-edge creative arts projects and events, including anything from short films to designing pieces for London’s major museums and galleries. Better still, you will also develop valuable skills in project management, workshop planning, decision making and creative direction and mentoring of others. Besides being damn good fun, these sessions are an amazing CV booster and give your professional profile a serious lift.
So don’t delay – decide you want to Be in our gang today. See you soon!
